James Houston Bales is a native Kansan, born and raised in Wichita. As a child, he was very involved in his church and Wichita’s youth music programs, channeling his desire for helping people into instructing young children at music camps.
Mr. Bales received his Bachelor’s Degree from Wichita State University in 2011 in Secondary English Education. Over the course of his program, he taught in some of Kansas’s largest and most diverse schools, serving wonderful students from all walks of life.
After a brief sojourn in Texas, Mr. Bales returned to Kansas in 2014 to make Kansas his home once again and study Law at The University of Kansas, having never forgotten his love for Kansans. Today, Mr. Bales works for a defense attorney and helps run his family’s farming company as he earns his Juris Doctor.
Mr. Bales is a man dedicated to helping people, to giving them the foundations they need to be successful in an increasingly competitive world. He is also a man dedicated to preserving Kansas’s heritage and economic traditions, while also streamlining these traditions to compete in the modern world. Finally, Mr. Bales is a firm believer in personal freedom, dedicated to the idea that YOU are the only person who knows what is best for YOU.
